In 2009, Nathali Mack, a trained seamstress and designer, fulfilled her dream and founded Capitana. Silk scarves have always been a beloved accessory for her and as the owner of a collection, they have always been a keypiece for her. The idea for the name Natalie Mack

Natalie Mack, the founder and creative head of Capitana

Each new collection begins a trip to Italy. While fabric shopping locally, Natalie selects exceptional silks and jacquards, drawing inspiration from the Italian lifestyle and the vintage aesthetic so typical of Italy. The scarves and shawls are then handmade in her Frankfurt studio in the characteristic patchwork design. From classic triangular shawls and silk scarves to opulent stoles and sophisticated nicki scarves, each model is unique with unusual combinations, including beads, feathers or leather accents.

"Not only as a designer, especially as a tailor, I love my craft and make each scarf in elaborate and precise craftsmanship in my Frankfurt atelier. Exclusive and limited."

In addition to the individual design, free from short-lived fashion trends, Natalie attaches great importance to sustainability. All fabrics are sourced exclusively from overstock, also called deadstock. These are often prints and leftovers from renowned international design labels. The products are packaged plastic-free to minimize the ecological footprint. Nathali Mack is also involved in social projects, such as making scarves in workshops with refugee women. As a founding member of a nature conservation association, she is furthermore actively involved in environmental protection.
